*Lights! Cameras! Edutainment!
Want your student film to be in the first ever White House Student Film Festival? Listen up!
The First family knows how important technology has become to you. They’ve seen you on your iPad, iPhone, lap top and PC. They know you’ve got your Xbox, PS3, and kindle. And of course they know you can now just jump on the Internet and access all kinds of information at the speed of light. But what they don’t know, is how you’re using all these gadgets. How are you applying them to your education in science, technology, engineering and math?
In other words, are you ready to show them that you’ve got skillz?
If this sounds like a challenge you’re ready to take, President Barack Obama would like to hear from you! No, he doesn’t want you to write a letter. Nope, you can’t shoot a quick email, and if you think you can send a text, fuggitaboutit my friend.
He wants you to make a short film; a video no longer than 3-minutes that shows how you apply this technology to your studies. And the best part is, you don’t have to be a pro!
After all, how professional can a kindergartner be :)?
That’s right! They’re looking for videos from youth in grades K-12. The official selections will be posted on the White House website where everyone, everywhere can view them. Hey, you might even be able to attend the festival in person!
But there’s much more to learn about this. So, if your kid is interested (we know they’re probably not on EURThisNthat so please let them know, ‘K?) or you know of another kid who might be, let them know.
